Hi I'm Margo, I'm new here. I'm so glad I found this site, I'm sure I'll learn a lot from all of you.

Just wondering if anyone has tried Cognative-behavioral therapy for social anxiety? I don't know much about it but it was recommended to me and I'm curious if anyone here could give me some advice.

hey margo,

I'm actually a psych student and, ironically (or maybe not so much) ever since I've gone into grad school, something about the stress of constantly being evaluated, etc., I have begun experiencing some pretty significant symptoms.

CBT is supposed to be the best and in our program they're real big on mindfulness training which seems to be a form or integration of CBT for social phobia treatment.

Has anyone found a mindfulness or meditation program they've found effective???
