| awsome videos man. those are some tough mother ****. the only part I dont like about MMA is when they're grappling on the map for 5 minutes doing nothing interesting. although I think some of the leages have limites now as to how long they can go without any action, I think the ref tells them to fight more or something like that? |

Yeah there are fighters, usually with a wrestling background, who will just take down their opponent and then lay on top of him doing nothing, so they can get a decision win. They are usually called Lay 'N Pray fighters, and can be very boring, even to hardcore fans. As long as they are throwing punches or going for submission attempts, I find it interesting. |

| ok so they call them Lay N Pray? I dont think those fighters should be in MMA. I agrea with you that its still interesting to watch if they are punching and attempting submissions. but the ones that do nothing but hug on the ground, those are really boring to watch. nothing beats a good ol fashioned stand up fight, I could watch those for ever. its almost like watching a streetfight. |

| The best MMA fights usually happen in PRIDE Fighting Championships. They have less Lay N' Pray fighters, and the fighters get money taken away from their fight paycheck for inactivity. The UFC has more Lay N' Pray wrestlers and dosen't deduct for inactivity. Although if you like stand up fights, K-1 kickboxing is best for that. They can't goto the ground and they stand and go for knockouts with punches, kicks and knees. They do use gloves close to boxing glove padding, but a lot of the fights end in knockouts, and are only 3 rounds. K-1 is better than normal 12 round boxing. |

| ya I think I saw some k-1 fights a few times. there's about million times more action then regular boxing in those. well some boxing fights have action but most of the time its just huging and pushing. what I like about MMA fights is that these guys fight like their life depends on it. |

Yeah most MMA fighters have real passion and aggression which they unleash in the matches. I wish I had known a long time ago it would become this popular, because I would have seriously trained to get into it.
I used to get into fights at school and having worked on a farm all my life I was naturally stronger than the people who picked fights with me. I had never lost a fight to anyone other than my biggest older cousin, who was about 6'3 200 lbs at age 14. Then I got into boxing but the trainers were crap and the facility moved. Now the internet, TV, and video games have corrupted me.
I should get off my ass and become an MMA champion!!!. |

| How about the ground and pound fighters? Fedor Emelianenko is the best of at this (Pride Heavyweight champ, and my favourite fighter by the way). He is an absolute monster. |

Yeah, Fedor Emelianenko is the best fighter on the planet. Hopefully we will get to see him fight Mirko "Cro Cop" and/or Josh Barnett for the Pride belt sometime next year. Although, Cro Cop may be going to the UFC, as he was offered a big contract from them. Then we would see Cro Cop break UFC champion, Tim Sylvia's legs. |
