Can we drop the age on the OTH section? At the moment it says it is for people aged 30+ but we are getting a few people who appear on the forum in their late twenties who would probably like to be part of it as they are discussing more adult issues - marriage, jobs, children extra. I think the age limit might put them off.
Perhaps it should be 25+ or just say for those whose teenage years are far behind them. Or not say anything and I will add a thread to say who this section is aimed at. |

Those issues (Marriage, jobs children) can be discussed anywhere though e.g. SA discussion or The Bar. _________________ To recieve emails when someone replies to your post, go to profile then select "Yes" under "Always notify me of replies".

| No I'm saying that if someone is 26 and wants to talk about marriage they can use another forum to do it. |

Not to take sides but isn't that part of what the OTH section could include? _________________ Feel free to pm me or email me. |

Rebecca's request is likely due to Misty's post - she is 26 but has been married and divorced according to her first post. I'm fine with her putting that post in the SA Discussion area. |

If you're talking about this site in general, I don't enforce any age requirement.
The OTH section is for people aged 30+. It says on the description.
The motivation for creating the section was to get more people in that age range (30+) to join the site. There is a sticky thread in the Bar "How old are you?" - most people are very young. One person said they felt like a grandmother at age 34 due to the other ages mentioned.
The OTH hopefully makes older people feel less out of place. |
