This is taken from my diary so explain the **** up personal language
Today I saw two mute boys. I'm gonna leave out rude bois because I'm trying to stop labelling. But it just made me feel really bad for them because how in the world can they fit in in their lifestyle that they have chosen to live? And it made me angry because I have been called mute most of my life and I have chosen to remain quiet and then theres people like them that want to speak but they cant and it makes me just think I should speak alot more. At least they were lucky because they had each other. But there are other mute people that don't have anyone. It made me angry to be someone who has social anxiety. _________________

That IS an interesting way of looking at it.
People used to assume I was mentaly challenged because I didn't speak much. Then this one kid in highschool said to another kid "This is Alyssa. She is like the nicest girl in the world. You could like shoot her in the head and she would probably still smile".
I was like umm..Not exactly. I smile because I am nervous. I am quite friendly if someone speaks to ME first but I am not the type to go out of my way and seek people out (OBVIOUSLY LOL) and I certainly have an opinion and DO get angry with people, I am just so afraid of confrontationt hat I keep my opinions to myself and pretend i'm not angry. I used to HATE it when we had to do group work in class. Because of my social anxiety I was labeled as someone that was not participating and would get snapped at by whoever in the group was the pushy bossy one. I excelled on my own and faltered in groups. |
