When I google "social anxiety" or "how to stop people pleasing" or even "social anxiety symptoms", the most generic things always come up. Within the first 5 listings on "how to stop people pleasing", the content on all the pages basically focused on the inability to say no. If that's all people pleasing was, damn would I be lucky. I've found my people pleasing to extend to telling people what they want to hear, being a person that I know they want me to be even though it's not myself, anything really as long as I'm doing it to please another person and allow my needs to go to the wayside. Also, while I do find that I identify with a lot of symptoms for this disorder, I have to say that there are a lot that I do not. I find that some websites put extra emphasis on certain symptoms and don't even address other ones. I know that the fact that I rehearse what I say in my mind before I say it to I can make sure it will avoid any kind of social scrutiny is clearly a symptom of someone with social anxiety, but hardly ANY of the sites that I've acquired address this. I'm angry and upset right now, and perhaps that's coming out on the fact that I have this annoying disorder that has generic literature on the web for sufferers looking for comfort. Ugh. I'm gonna regret this one in the morning |

I've searched for years on something that could cure SA but there isn't anything that useful you will find on the internet. _________________ Read the advertisement rules:
