the medication has its ups and downs. like, for the past two years i had been doing great, only going for regular check-ups with my psychiatrist. then last year it started acting up, i was especially feeling the dizziness and being nervous for no reason.
now we're playing around with medication again. i was started on anti-anxiety meds at age 8, on a dose of 50mg of zoloft. at age 13 i tried prozac and lexapro, both having little to no results. at age 15 we finally found a combo that seemed to work, 150mg of wellbutrin XL and 75mg of zoloft.
i just changed to 300mg wellbutrin XL and 50mg of zoloft, and added in .5mg klonopin twice daily. my psychiatrist is also considering a partial program for me. im not sure what that is or what it means .. do any of you know or have personal experience? right now i just feel like my anxiety is so unmanageable, i cant do anything (and i literally mean anything .. taking out the garbage is cause for panic just as much as going to school for the day) |

funny thing is i've been on the SSRI's for years now and they were working great for me until just this past year. i dont know what went wrong. i'm definitely going to contemplate taking them anymore .. i dont think they're doing much, if not making things worse like you said.
the klonopin doesnt put me to sleep at all. it seems to take the edge off a little bit, but i still feel awful. really nervous all the time for no reason. if you or anyone else has any info on meds and/or partial programs, please let me know. right now i'm pretty desperate for help and support |

Eh, well I see this is kinda old but incase anyone ever reads it I'll make a post. When I took Wellbutrin I believe I was on 300 mg, and this is one of the few medicines I took where I actually suffered some side effects. I had a tremble in my hands and I couldn't do anything with them that required precision. Now I take desipramine(25mg) and sertraline(150mg) and for the most part they work. I still have a bit of anxiety but my mood was starting to get a little better. I use to have panic attacks when I'd talk about myself usually one on one and that hasnt happened to me since ive been on zoloft.
But anyways under the assumption that most psychatrists will offer similar programs and stuff, mine offered some type of G.O.O.D program, it sounded kinda dumb to me and supposedly it was like automated which didn't make it sound any better but you called in or something. I never used it though. |
