Man I love test cricket, and it dont get any better than The Poms Vs The Aussies. What a battle. We won em last time out, but after the first test earlier this week it looks like we got a huge battle on our hands to retain them.
Anyone else interested in the Ashes? I know that over here the Ashes is usually so huge that even non-crickt people end up hooked in the high drama of it all. Especially when its as legendry as they were last time around. _________________ I embrace my desire to

| I've never actually seen cricket televised in Canada, so I have never watched the sport before. I heard a match can last 5 days, whats up with that?. |

| Test matchhes last 5 days, and yes there can be a draw after 5 days of cricket. Test matches are considered the pinicale of cricket. Its what every player dreams of playing in. Its the purest form of cricket. 5 days may seem a long time. Over 5 days you really get a gladatorial battle between teams with individual battles going on. Its very strategic, and at times psychological. The importance of having a good captain cannot be under-estimated. Its like no other sport, yes its slow, but no other sport is as facinating to watch in my opinion. |

I do indeed, if you cast your mind back to the first test of the last Ashes series England got thumped, but they came back strong and went on to win the series.
After the first day of this second test England are hanging in there and doing well. It would be stupid to right them off as most of the press over here have done. |

| I hope England wins, because they seem to lose at everything they love, like soccer. |

Well, England are sure testing the Aussies out. They are making EXTREMELY slow progress, at 3/324 after nearly a day and a half. Mind you, at this time in the first test Australia was batting, and had almost 600 runs
What a difference! |

347/3 at lunch.
Yeah, this pitch is offering the bowlers nothing, Australia have resorted to bowling wide and are completly on the defensive which isnt helping the match. I think after luch KP might let lose a little as the bowlers begin to tire. Dont under-estimate the importance of the last couple of sessions, England my be going slowly, but thats grea - stability and runs on the board. The Aussies are pretty much out of ideas right now as to how to get a wicket. Both batsmen on 100's and playing well. Both Mgrath and Wanre on 0'fers after a day and a half. Dont see that too often either. |

I sometimes watch the ashes. Just to see if they will win again like 2005! |

| Australai are 4-0 up in the series going into the final test. Looks like its gonna be a whitewash. This tour has gone so badly wronh for England on pretty much every level. |

Well, Australia easily won the series!
I really do love cricket, it is very interesting sometimes. I don't know why some people don't like it. |
